The Morning Run

A worker carrying a signpost to be placed along the road outside the  school compound  to warn the motorists  to  slow down  their vehicles due to the students participating in the morning run on the first of November this year.

The students were doing a warm-up exercise to get ready every part of their body muscles as preparation for the run. They were doing the exercise enthusiastically under the guidance of the school sports master.

There was actually a drizzle that morning but it did not dampen the spirit of the participants and once the whistle was heard off they went trying to outrun each other.

The lone runner minus the T-shirt and shoes running on the wet and slippery road . It was still some distance to cover before he could reach the last station. Although he looked quite exhausted, the activity had certainly toughened him up to face more challenges in life in future.

A young participant representing his class to receive the prizes from the headmaster.

Everybody enjoyed the morning run and credit should go to all the teachers and school workers who had helped to organize the activity successfully. It would also be included in the school calendar to be carried out again next year. It was really an unforgettable experience for all of us who took part in the event.
