Coffee or tea

Coffee or tea?  Each time when  I am asked about my favourite beverage, it is certainly coffee. It is always my preferred choice. There is nothing better to start a new day with a mug of coffee. The strong  aroma of  coffee is really irresistible.
I have been drinking coffee all this while. I do not think I am going to make a change even though there have been conflicting reports about the benefits of drinking coffee.  Some say it causes your blood pressure to go up and so it is a bit risky for those having problems with a high blood pressure. On the other hand, there is also a research report that coffee drinkers have a lesser risk of getting type-2 diabetes. It  even further states that it helps you to avoid getting Azhmier’s disease as you gets older.  In short, it is better that you start having your cup of coffee before you become senile in your old age.
As a habitual drinker, I do know the best coffee beans that can give you the “ummp” and make you want to enjoy more of it. Of course, the ways of preparation also affects the quality of coffee. I am talking about the coffee power that comes from the coffee beans especially Arabica beans which I think gives you the irresistible aroma. Always buy the coffee powder which has been freshly prepared.  You can easily differentiate it from the stale one in terms of its strong aroma and price. Whether you like it or not the price always dictates its quality. It is worth your money to spend a little more to enjoy quality coffee.
Nowadays you have coffee powder prepared in the form of small packets or sachets for convenience and easy preparation. They are easily available in the shopping malls or supermarkets.  You can easily prepare a cup of coffee since all the ingredients have been carefully prepared and standardized.  Some may taste aromatic and pleasant but they cannot be compared to the coffee you prepare at home with the original coffee powder. You can also control the sweetness or ‘thickness’ of the coffee.  In short, you have the liberty to brew it according to your taste even though it takes a little bit of your time. It is worth the effort.  Just in case you need to drink your ‘kopi-O’ and yet you hardly have time then go and enjoy it in the coffee shop. Of course in that case you have to choose the coffee shop instead; the one that offers the best coffee. As a coffee connoisseur you should know the one that has the best coffee. For me, I can smell it from afar.
I think drinking coffee is in my DNA. As far as I know my parents and grandparents had been drinking coffee all the time. I have no knowledge of them drinking other beverages. Only coffee. Breakfast without coffee is unimaginable.
There should be no harm in drinking coffee. You should however reduce the sugar intake. A cup or two would surely brighten up your day and keep you going. So, no worry. Go ahead and drink your coffee. Have a good day.
